Born in '79 - lived in Mumbai practically all my life - in the same house. Started off as a hobbyist programmer in the '90s. Did not excel in academics, so did Production Engineering ('01). Had an opportunity to travel to the US for graduate studies (Industrial Engineering '03) - met my partner there (married in '06 - have two kids now). Started building Frappe Framework and ERP system for my family business in '05. Failed at first attempt at entrepreneurship (Notes & Reports '07-'08), rebooted in '08 (rebooting ever since - as some people might say, till we find "product-market fit")

So far have better track record building products than business - trying to get better at building teams and business and enjoying it. Trying my hand at community building with FOSS United. Also started a school (learnerscollective.in)

Love to read in my free time - mostly fiction. Like contemporary fiction, science / dystopian fiction. Love catching up on TV series (Expanse is my all time favourite). Love debates, philosophy, history, economics, politics - want to break free from the mundane. Whatever I am today is mostly because of the books that I have read.
